Rainbow 6 Siege Team Falls to SUNY Corning

Harrisburg, PA - The Rainbow 6 Siege Hawks lost a hard-fought two-map series against the Red Barons of SUNY Corning CC.

The first map of Chalet was extremely close. With Hawks starting on defense, the first half goes 4-2 in favor of the Hawks. Switching to attack, the Hawks closed the gap as rounds are traded back and forth until the score was tied at 6-6. This score sent the match into overtime. Starting on attack in overtime, the Hawks managed to take the first round, but just was unable to get another round as the Red Barons won the map 8-7. An amazing and seasonal best performance coming out of Charlotte "vulpine" Martin with a KDA of 17/11/1 on the first map.

Map two went to Oregon with Hawks starting on attack. The map starts heavily in the Hawks' favor as they took the first three rounds in a row. First-Entry player Edward "AnttiiMatter" Forgione scored nine kills without dying. But after losing the remaining attacking rounds and a lobby rehost for the second half, the Hawks are unable to find their footing again and lost the map; 4-7.

With an even win/lose record and only one game remaining, the R6 team is currently ranked sixth in the open season. The team must stay in the top eight to move onto post season play.
