Overwatch 2 Team Falls to Atlantic Cape CC

Harrisburg, PA - OW2 Team Black played Atlantic Cape Community College in a tough matchup Friday night.

The first map of the series is Control on Nepal.  The first round the Hawks jump on the point early and take control.  However, they are soon pushed off and unable to re-take the point, losing the round. Round two, the Hawks once again push point early, but are met with some stiff resistance and cannot capture the point. Despite a few good attempts to gain control, the Hawks are consistently picked off and lose the map.

Map two is Hybrid on Blizzard World. The Hawks start on attack and manage to get the Payload all the way to the end on their run, while next round they stop Atlantic Cape from winning by wiping them just meters from the final checkpoint, winning the map. Map 3 is Escort on Rialto. Both teams get the Payload all the way during their attacks, but thanks to the Hawks great defense and fast attack push, they have 4 more minutes in OT allowing them to win the match. Map 4 goes to Esperanca for a match of Push. The Hawks have a strong start on this map, taking control of the bot first and pushing it for the next three minutes, gaining 70 meters. Unfortunately, due to an enemy Reaper ULT, the Hawks are wiped and lose possession of the bot. For the rest of the match, Atlantic Cape maintains control and pushes the bot all the way.

The series tied 2-2, the tiebreaker map is Oasis for a match of Control. The Hawks take the point early and the round looks promising as they get all the way to 98% until getting wiped. Unfortunately, they just can't regain control and lose the final map, just 2% away from their first victory of the season.
