HACC's Madden Player, Trent Berkheiser, Wins First Match of Season

Harrisburg, PA - Trent "TtheJandB" Berkheiser faced Carl Albert State College (CASC) for his first match of the Tier 1 season. Madden is played in a best of three games format in the league, and only standard teams are allowed.

Game one, TtheJandB picked the Baltimore Ravens and his opponent picked the Cleveland Browns. TtheJandB came out firing on all cylinders in game one as he scored touchdown after touchdown, ending the half with a score of 35-0. Carl Albert started off the second half with the ball, and managed to take it down the field once for 7 points. But despite their best effort, they couldn't outperform TtheJandB's solid defense and were shut down the rest of the game. Final score was 38-7 giving HACC the first game win.

Game two, TtheJandB swapped to the Kansas City Chiefs while Carl Albert remained the Cleveland Browns. In a drastic change in performances, Carl Albert scored 23 points the first two quarters, leading by 10 going into halftime. In a close fought second half however, TtheJandB managed to match their opponent's performance, tying them up 23-23 right at the end of the fourth quarter. Despite Carl Albert starting with the ball in OT, TtheJandB prevented them from getting into the endzone and marched down the field far enough to kick a 23-yard field goal with only three seconds left in OT. This secured his win with a final score of 26-23, and secured his first match victory of the season.
