Hawks Fall to Spartans

Harrisburg, PA – The HACC Hawks men's basketball team were on the road,  Saturday afternoon, to take on the Spartans of Northampton Community College, who are ranked ninth nationally in the NJCAA.

Both teams came out firing on all cylinders, but the hawks began to trail, as the Spartans took the lead, in the first half. The Hawks would find themselves down, 62-44, at the break. The Hawks struggled to score at the start of the second half, as the Spartans held the Hawks with 44 points on the board. The Hawks began to battle back with a late push from the help of Keith Davis with a 3-point jump shot at minute 18:56. Anthony Alviani stepped up adding two more points to the board, assisted by Christian Bingaman, working to close the gap to 50-84. However, the Spartans cruised through to the finish, ending the match with a final score of 134-73.

 

Christian Bingaman paced the Hawks with 29 points and five rebounds while Matthew Fravel chipped in six rebounds and two points. Elijah Thomas rallied 11 points and Keith Davis captured 20 points for the Hawks.

The Hawks have their first home game of the season on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 to take on Delaware County Community College Phantoms. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
