HACC Hawks Men’s Basketball Falls to Centurions on the Road

Harrisburg, PA –  The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced the Centurions of Bucks County Community College Tuesday night, in a tough match-up. The HACC Hawks put up a strong team effort, but fell to the Centurions 63-105.

Bucks County Community College came out strong and took the lead the first half setting the tone for the game. The Hawks battled back as they worked to gain momentum, however they were unable to capture the lead, ending the first half 26-53.  The second half, the Hawks worked together to close the gap shooting 61.9% at the charity stripe. The Hawks captured 37 points the second half, working to cruise by the Centurions. The Centurions offense was just too strong and held the lead, collecting 52 more points on the board to surpass the Hawks. The Centurions captured the win over the Hawks; 63-105.

The Hawks had three players score in double figures. Leading the pack was Keith Davis who was just shy of a double-double with a game high of 19 points with eight rebounds and five assists. Elijah Thomas followed, capturing 18 points with four assists and five rebounds. Anthony Alviani rallied 13 points for the Hawks with five rebounds and three assists.

 

The Hawks face Lehigh Carbon Community College home on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.  The women's basketball team will face the Cougars at 5 p.m.
