Hawks Outpaced by Northampton Spartans

Harrisburg, PA –  The HACC Hawks men's basketball team lost at home, 108-61 against the Spartans of Northampton Community College in a tough match-up.

Both teams came out firing on all cylinders the first half as the Hawks kept the Spartans on their toes. But the Spartans gained control of the game early in the first half with the Hawks starting to trail. The Spartans held the lead as the Hawks were unable to match the pace, ending the first half; 21-55. The second half the Hawks began to battle back with a late push from the help of Vincent Fonticoba and Anthony Alviani both scoring nine points in the second half. However, the Spartans held the lead and cruised through to the finish, ending the match with a final score of 108-61.

Leading the squad for the HACC Hawks was Anthony Alviani capturing 11 points and five rebounds with four assists. Following was Vincent Fonticoba rallying 11 points and four rebounds. Matthew Fravel added nine points to the board while Kevin Perales poured in eight points and four rebounds into the contest.

 

The Hawks will face Lehigh Carbon Community College on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023 in the Evans Center Gymnasium. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
