HACC Hawks Men’s Basketball Falls to Central Penn

Harrisburg, PA –  The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced the Knights of Central Penn College on Monday night. The HACC Hawks put up a strong team effort, but fell to the Knights 113-88.

Both teams came out strong and battled for the lead throughout the first half. The HACC Hawks began to take the lead as they gained momentum. The Hawks started the second half working to stay ahead and the keep the advantage over the Knights. The Knights battled back and began to pull ahead of the Hawks as they capitalized offensively. The HACC Hawks were unable to hold the lead approaching the end of the second half as the Knights captured the victory; 113-88.

Leading the squad for the Hawks with both a season high and career high of 37 points was sophomore Anthony Alviani. Alviani also rallied seven assists and four rebounds for the Hawks. Following was Matthew Fravel with 15 points and seven rebounds and three assists. Vincent Fonticoba was another powerhouse shooter, capturing 13 points, six rebounds and three assists. Lincoln Morris tallied 12 points with five assists and Mohamed Abdoul added eight points to the contest with 10 rebounds and five assists.

 

The Hawks hit the road on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023 to face the Phantoms of Delaware County. Tip-off is set for 7pm. The game will be played at the FiDonce Gym.
