HACC Hawks Men’s Basketball Falls to Centurions on the Road

Harrisburg, PA –  The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced the Centurions of Bucks County Community College Tuesday night, in a tough match-up. The HACC Hawks put up a strong team effort, but fell to the Centurions 79-94.

Bucks County Community College came out strong and took the lead the first half setting the tone for the game. The Hawks battled back as they worked to gain momentum, however they were unable to capture the lead, ending the first half down by 19 points; 54-35.  The second half, the Hawks worked together to close the gap to just a 6-point difference. The Hawks shot 76.5% at the charity stripe with an 46.0% FMA. The Hawks captured 44 points the second half, working to cruise by the Centurions. The Centurions offense was just too strong and held the lead, collecting 40 more points on the board to surpass the Hawks. The Centurions captured the win over the Hawks; 94-79.

Leading the squad for the Hawks with a game high of 28 points was Anthony Alviani. Following with 15 points and four rebounds was Matthew Fravel. Vincent Fonticoba earned a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Lincoln Morris tallied 13 points with six assists. Kevin Perales scored eight points for the Hawks with seven rebounds and nine assists.

 

The Hawks hit the road on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023 to face Union College. Tip-off is set for 6p.m.
