Lehigh Carbon Escapes with Win over Hawks

Harrisburg, PA – The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced the Lehigh Carbon Cougars Tuesday evening in a tough matchup. The Hawks fell to the Cougars 83-72.

Both teams came out firing on all cylinders, but the Hawks began to trail, as the Cougars took the lead, in the first half. The Hawks would find themselves down, 41-27, at the break. The Hawks struggled to score at the start of the second half, as the Cougars held the Hawks with 45 points on the board. The Hawks began to battle back with a late push from the help of Jaiden Baltimore and Vincent Fonticoba. Jaiden Baltimore stepped up rallying 25 points for the Hawks while Vincent Fonticoba tallied 14 points, working to close the gap. However, the Cougars cruised through to the finish, ending the match with a final score of 83-72.

Jaiden Baltimore led the squad for the Hawks with 25 points and five rebounds. Vincent Fonticoba tallied 14 points with eight steals and six rebounds. Trey Slayton followed with 13 points and four assists for the Hawks.
