Bergen Escapes with Win Over Hawks

Harrisburg, PA The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced the Bulldogs of Bergen County Community College at home on Thursday evening.

Both teams came out firing on all cylinders, but the hawks began to trail, as the Bulldogs took the lead, in the first half. The Hawks would find themselves down, 52-40, at the break. Down just twelve points at halftime, the Hawks worked to close the gap and set the tone in second half. The Hawks battled to take the lead but were unable to keep pace with the Bulldogs in the second half as the Bulldogs surpassed the Hawks, ending the match 100-85.

Vincent Fonticoba led the squad for the Hawks with 28 points and five steals. Jaiden Baltimore followed with 25 points for the Hawks. Trey Slayton rallied 13 points and Samuel Efekele added 11 points to the board.

 

The Hawks hit the road on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 to face Passaic County Community College. Tip-off is set for 12 noon.
