Jeanette Wingert

Jeanette Wingert has been the Head Cross Country Coach since the summer of 2012. She was appointed Virtual Navigator for HACC in January 2020. Wingert comes to HACC from Abilene, TX where she served as Assistant Director of Recreational Sports at her alma mater; West Texas A&M University.

Under Coach Wingert’s Leadership, the Hawks have had two women’s conference winners and two men’s runners earn top five in the conference. The Hawks Cross Country team has had one runner from both the men’s and women’s team make the top ten in Region XIX. During Wingert’s time at HACC she has worked with several athletes and most recently coached one runner that placed 18th in the NJCAA National Championship Race.

Wingert graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Studies from McMurry University and in 2009, earned her Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A&M University.

Wingert is a member of the Cross-Country Coaches Association and the Student Affairs Assessment Committee at HACC. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and reading.
