Pickleball Court Pass and Membership Guidelines
Please note that HACC students and employees can access the pickleball courts at no charge.
The College is working on finalizing details for membership registration for community members who are not students or employees. Please continue to check this webpage for the most updated information.
Payment Options:

Memberships are non-refundable.

The yearly membership fee is $225.

Checks are the preferred method of payment:

Checks can be dropped off at Evan PE Building 8:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m.; Monday-Friday).

Checks should be made payable to HACC.

Debit card payments are not accepted at this time.

Upon receipt of the membership form and payment, your membership card will be activated. Please note that new members will be provided with a membership card.
Pass Guidelines:

Each pass holder is allowed to bring one guest. Abuse of this policy may result in the termination of the pass without a refund.

All pass holders must adhere to the court guidelines listed below.

HACC Alumni College Cardholders can access the reservation process using the student and staff-reserved courts.

HACC Students: Free with a valid HACC ID.

HACC Employees: Free with a valid HACC ID.

Members are defined as individuals holding a valid pickleball pass/card. Access to the pickleball courts is granted exclusively through the membership process outlined below. Pickleball membership does not include access to facilities or amenities within the J. Evans Physical Education building, including the fitness center, racquetball courts, gymnasium, locker rooms, and dance studio.
Pickleball Court Guidelines
Seasonal Availability:
Pickleball courts will be available from March 19 to December 1, weather permitting.
Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-3 p.m. for non-reservation walk-ups.

Campus safety and security will lock/unlock the courts based on the above hours.

Court lights will only be lit if a reservation is made.
-
All after-hours play is prohibited unless a reservation is made at least 24 hours in advance and approved by the College.

Seasonal hours may vary, with light operations until:

9 p.m. during fall and winter
-
10 p.m. during spring and summer
-

HACC reserves the right to adjust the schedule as needed.
Parking:

Parking is available in the East and West lots at the College’s Harrisburg Campus.

Accessible parking is conveniently between Ted Lick Hall Administration Building and John Hall Technology Center.
Safety and Security:

Play is prohibited when courts are wet due to rain, ice, or snow.
-
Squeegees are available to dry the courts and must be hung on designated hooks by the fence after use.

An automated external defibrillator (AED) will be located at the north end of the courts for emergency use.

Courts will be closed when the College is not in session.
Court Reservations:

Reservations must be made through the Hawks athletic website. Click here to reserve.

Walk-ins are permitted on non-reserved courts.

Half of the courts will be reserved for HACC students, employees, or program use during open play hours.

Reservations must be made by:
-
4 p.m. the day before play
-
Noon on Thursdays for weekend use

Courts reserved for special events may incur additional fees, subject to written permission from the College.
Prohibited Use:
-
The courts can only be used for private business, personal or professional training, or tournaments with written permission or an approved contract.

Alcohol, tobacco (including vaping), and glass bottles are prohibited.
-
Pets are not allowed on the courts.
-
Throwing, batting, or kicking balls into the fence is prohibited.
Court Equipment:
-
Participants must bring their own paddles and balls.

Students and employees can check out paddles and balls from the J. Evans Physical Education building. Equipment must be returned in good condition.
General Court Rules:

A valid HACC student, employee ID, or community ID/pass is required for play.
-
Courts are reserved via the Hawks Athletic website. Alternative reservation systems may be integrated in the future.

Courts are for pickleball play only. Bicycles, rollerblades, and skateboards are prohibited.

Players must vacate the court promptly after their reserved time and ensure it is in good condition.
-
Foul language, inappropriate behavior, and abuse of the facility are prohibited.

Players must wear shirts and soft, non-marking rubber-soled shoes. Black-soled shoes are not allowed.
-
HACC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Players must check in at the front desk of Evan PE Building to receive a wristband, which they must wear at all times while using the courts.

Personal equipment storage on the courts is not allowed.

Courts must be left clean and free of debris.
Minors:
Minors may play under adult supervision (who are members, students, or employees) and must follow all court rules. They may only play if courts are not in high demand.
