The 2025 Athletic Awards Ceremony brought together athletes, coaches, families, and fans for an evening of recognition, reflection, and celebration. Held on April 24, 2025 at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the Harrisburg Campus, the annual event honored the outstanding achievements, sportsmanship, and dedication of student-athletes throughout the academic year.
From record-breaking performances to inspiring comebacks, this year's awards highlighted both individual excellence and team spirit. The evening began with team awards to a tribute to sophomore athletes, followed by highlighting the academic excellence within the conference and by team. Additionally, several individuals were honored for their top performance and unwavering commitment to HACC Athletics.
Major Awards Presented:
Student- Athlete of the Year: Peyton Maass, Women's Volleyball – Recognized for her leadership, consistent performance, and commitment both on and off the field.
Hawks Spirit Award: Joel Efekele, Men's Soccer – Given to a student who actively supports the Athletics program by attending games, participating in events and showing exceptional school pride.
Gamer of the Year: Tyler Keener, Esports – Awarded to the top Esports athlete who demonstrates exceptional skill, competitive excellence and a strong drive to win. This player consistently performs at a high level, contributes to the team success, and stands out as a leader in their game.
25 Years of Service: Glen Lum – Acknowledged for 25 years of dedicated service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the HACC Athletics community.
Above and Beyond: Joy Pagan - Presented to an individual who consistently exceeds expectations, demonstrating exceptional dedication, initiative, and a commitment to the success of HACC Athletics. Their contributions go beyond their defined role, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the student-athlete experience.
Hawks Heart & Hustle Award: Paulina Garcia and Beaudelson Elisme - Awarded to a student-athlete who embodies passion, perseverance, and an unrelenting work ethic—on and off the field. This individual leads by example, giving maximum effort in every moment and inspiring teammates with heart and hustle.
Other honors included team awards such as Most Improved Player, Sportsmanship Awards, Iron Hawk, MVP, Highest Overall Team GPA Award and special awards for academic-athletic balance.
