Hawks Unable to Rally Against Spartans

Harrisburg, PA – The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced Northampton CC on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023. The Hawks fell to the Spartans 88-49.  

Both teams came out strong the first half battling to take the lead. The Spartans brought the intensity, setting the tone for the game working to hold the lead over the Hawks, shooting a FGM percentage of 48.5% as the Hawks trailed behind shooting a FGM percentage of 24.6%. ending the first half 42-20. At the start of the second, the Hawks changed momentum and with a team effort worked to close the gap. The game was evenly matched and in the second half free throws became crucial. The Hawks shot 72.0% from the charity stripe in hopes gain the lead, but the Spartans were able to capitalize offensively and take the lead to the finish. The Spartans took the victory, ending the match 88-49.

The Hawks had two players score in double figures. Leading the pack was Jaiden Baltimore with a game high of 20 points and Lincoln Morris with 13 points for the Hawks. Trey Slayton followed with nine points and three assists. Vincent Fonticoba rallied five points with 12 rebounds for the Hawks.
