Hawks Fall Short in 62-67 Loss to CCBC Dundalk

Harrisburg, PA – The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced the Lions of CCBC Dundalk Thursday night, in a tough match-up. The HACC Hawks ran out of time, falling to the Lions 62-67.

Both teams came out strong the first half battling to take the lead. The Hawks brought the intensity, setting the tone for the game working to gain an advantage over the Lions. However, the Lions worked the inside, shooting an FGM percentage of 34.9% while the Hawks narrowly were ahead shooting an FGM percentage of 36.5%. The lead was captured by the Hawks at the break, 35-24. At the start of the second, the Lions changed momentum and with a team effort worked to capture the lead. The Hawks fired on all cylinders shooting a 40% from the three-point line while the Lions shot 15.8%. The game was evenly matched and in the second half free throws became crucial. The Hawks shot 75% from the charity stripe in hopes to close the gap, but the Lions were able to capitalize offensively and take the lead 43-27 and continued to hold the lead to the finish. The Lions took the victory, ending the match 67-62.

Leading the pack was Amyr Fox with a game high of 12 points with four rebounds. Shawn Lewis followed, capturing 11 points with two assists.
