Hawks Pull Out Win Over Community College of Philadelphia and Lehigh Carbon in Tri-Match

Harrisburg, PA – The Hawks Women's Volleyball team faced Community College of Philadelphia and Lehigh Carbon Community College in a Tri-match Saturday Oct. 5, 2024. The Hawks won both matches improving their overall record 10-8.

 

Match 1: HACC 3, Community College of Philly 0 - Final

 

The Hawks dominated against Community College of Philly in the home Tri-match. The Hawks finished with a convincing win against the Lions; 3-0. Peyton Maass led the squad with 10 kills and 3 serve aces, while Kelly Bastian added 7 kills. Both Peyton Maass was active with 12 digs. Camryn Heth recorded 9 assists and 2 serve aces. 
 

Match 2: HACC 3, Lehigh Carbon 1 - Final

 

The second matchup of the tri-match was against the Lehigh Carbon Cougars. The Cougars set the tone taking the lead and winning the first set 25-18. The HACC Hawks got right to work in the second set and battled for the lead and with a late push were able to capture the win 27-25. The third and fourth set were controlled by the HACC Hawks ending in 23-25 and 25-21 wins. Peyton Maass had a team high of 17 kills to pair with her 20 digs. Camryn Heth led the team with 42 assists. Kelly Bastian recorded 11 kills, 17 digs and 1 serve ace. Lezlie Nguyen followed with 15 digs and 8 kills.
